Tom has been working in the drawing industry since 2002, when he began as 'n junior draughtsman.
He mainly worked in the mining and structural steel industries, as well as on overhead cranes.

In August 2007 he was appointed as a training facilitator for a draughting College and project management company. After 3 months he was appointed as chief facilitator and campus manager.

February 2009 het started work at Carab as an engineering technician at the Arnot site and in June he 2009 was appointed as draughting office manager.

He is currently studying mechanical engineering at UNISA.
